Specifications and Build
The set includes 20 kilograms of weight, distributed across rubber-coated cast iron plates with a 31mm bore. The adjustable configuration allows users to tailor the load to their needs, which can be especially useful for those looking to progress gradually or share equipment among different users. Rubber-coated plates are commonly chosen to help reduce noise and protect flooring, and Kobo specifically notes that these materials are designed for everyday use.
Versatility and Practical Considerations
A key advantage of adjustable dumbbell sets is their space efficiency, making them a practical choice for home gyms or facilities where storage is at a premium. Kobo emphasizes that the round heads of these dumbbells are intended to be suitable for a variety of exercises, such as overhead triceps extensions. The manufacturer also notes the set's suitability for both isolation and full-body workouts, as well as functional and HIIT training formats. This breadth of potential application may appeal to users seeking a single set for diverse routines.
Intended Settings: Home and Commercial Use
The Kobo 20kg Professional Dumbbells Set is explicitly positioned for use in both home and commercial environments. This dual suitability is supported by the manufacturer's statement regarding the heavy-duty, rubber-coated cast iron construction, which is described as appropriate for everyday, repeated use in various settings.
